My wife and I moved to Richmond when our children were very young because we had decided it was the best part of Metro Vancouver for them to grow up in, and that worked out well. While Richmond is a little less urban than the city of Vancouver, which is directly north via bridges, it’s easy to get to Vancouver attractions by rapid transit.

I loved living in Richmond! We were there from 1981 to 1992. The majority of the population is Asian which has turned the city of Richmond into “Chinatown”. When my son was in school, the vast majority of students were Asian. Our Doctor and Dentist were Asian as were most of my neighbors.
